Harris History Update

Happy Wednesday:

P1 and P4: Students worked on their bibliographies today in class. They have a final library day tomorrow to complete the following for assessment:
-3 pages of research notes
-position paper organizer
-draft of bibliography

All of these should have been at least started already, so the list shouldn’t be a surprise for any student. The most important step is to take time to complete thorough research. My hope is that students are very comfortable with their topics at this point. I would be a good idea to check in with your son or daughter to see how things are going. Just a reminder also that the next quiz is on Monday.

P2: Students had their final library period today. They should have their Civil War battles research done, as well as their organizer. Several were working on bibliographies today. The paper is due Monday. Please ask your son or daughter what he or she has learned so far about the battles of Antietam and Gettysburg. Hopefully they can also articulate which battle was more significant. The tentative date for the next unit test is a week from today.

Have a great evening, everyone!
