Harris History: Weekend Update

As previously mentioned, progress reports were given out to students today (not everyone in P1 came to see me at lunch so they may not have it yet). Progress reports sometimes inflate marks and sometimes kids panic because their average might be lower than usual. It’s usually the case that they had one bad mark and because there are few entries, the entire average is skewed. My advice to them was to NOT panic; rather, they need to focus on areas for improvement, like reviewing notes at least once per week and making sure all research assignments and readings are complete.

P1: No homework. The 1920s in-class essay will be written Tuesday. I’ll do another mark update next week.

P3: Reading quiz today and I collected yesterday’s homework. Had a ton of missing people today! No homework.

P4: Election is done and we’ll begin the Class of Commons activity Monday. No homework.

Have a great weekend.
